One thing that you might notice is that most of these reviews are fairly positive. This is because these are all movies that I have wanted to see and I'm very good at avoiding crap. Now I'm fairly easy on films, I can usually find something I like about any film. I love all genre's from absolute cheese (Toxic Avenger) to the classics (Lawrence of Arabia). If I was writing reviews for a living (hint hint perspective employers), I would have to see everything and the bad reviews would start to come out of the woodwork. And it is fun to write those reviews, sometimes it's just nice to rip into a movie. (I thought about writing one for Vertical Limit just to get all those nasty explicatives out of my head.)

Another thing I try to do with my reviews is use no spoilers, because I hate it when critics give away the movie. I usually won't give any more plot points away than the trailer did. In fact I usually don't read movie reviews until after I have seen the flick, I just like seeing what the other guy thought. Also that way I don't go in with any preconceived opinions, I want my own first. (Don't let that stop you from reading mine.) 6/22/1: My latest reviews have all been for the Seattle Film Festival, I was covering the festival for Film Threat. I didn't get paid, but it's the closest I've come to being a "real" film critic.
